Litas is a national currency of Lithuania; litas consists of 100 cents. Exchange rate of litas is stable because it is tied with Euro: 1 EUR = 3.4528 LTL.

Litas came to life in 1922 and was in use till 1940, but World War II came and Lithuania was occupied, as a result litas was forbidden. Litas was restored in 1993 and is still in use. However Lithuanian Goverment has a goal to replace litas with euro.

Today's denominations are: coins and banknotes: Litas banknotes: 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500; litas coins: 1, 2 and 5; cent coins: 1, 2, 5. 10, 20 and 50.
